Evangelistic Outreach

Last night Sal and Elena attended an evangelistic outreach at the Bible Church in Masanangudi. It is a larger village with about 10,000 in population. Pastor Wasu and his team were busy last week handing out fliers all over the village and outlying areas. When our ride pulled up we were amazed at the crowd that was there. The meeting took place in the courtyard under beautiful Indian fabrics that were fashioned into a tent. Chairs had been brought in and a stage area was erected where the guest speaker and a host of area pastors were seated. The music was very loud and could be heard a mile away. The speaker was very lively and animated. He spoke on the Crucified Christ and how to know Him. What a stark contrast to the Muslim call to prayer that resonated from the mosque across the street. A reminder of the vast job these Christian servants have to reach their country with the gospel. Sal and Elena will attend the closing session this evening. They are expecting an even bigger crowd.

As I write this, Tom, Bev and Tom U are well on their way home. Pray they all adjust to the time change and have a restful weekend.
