A Quiet Sunday at Quiet Corner

Today began with the playful antics of the large monkeys jumping from limb to limb outside of Mercy Corner. They are a very large species and can stand nearly 5 feet tall. Their weight is causing trouble because they jump on rooftops and break the tiles.

Church was a three hour worship service with lots of singing, testimonies, prayer times and the message which was delivered by Sal with an interpreter. The most moving time for us was when Pastor Benjamin asked the church to pray for our dear friend Bill Fredricks who is very sick with cancer. The entire congregation  prayed aloud for God to have mercy and healing for Bill.

Bev, Sal and Elena decided to walk back to the camp. It is a glorious view from the hilly path. The landscape is breathtaking thanks to our great God and creator.

We were delighted to see David Samuel waiting for us after church. He arrived in India overnight and came straight to the camp with his brother Paul. We are so grateful that David can be here for the conference. He will be invaluable for working all the computers and overhead projector. The pastors have been checking in all day today and will continue to come tomorrow. The conference opens at 2:30 PM.

By the grace of God we are all well. Thank you again and again for your prayers.
